When you live really close to a lake its hard to take the fishing there serious, and I really don’t want to take the fishing in my home lakes too serious. They should last my whole life and I don’t wanna catch all fish in there, that should take away my interest totally. But one fish I felt I must catch as soon as possible to don’t take the risk that it should die before I catch it was “ The Beautiful One” also known as “ Gary Benney”. When we had a youth camp with the Swedish Carp Society a few years ago one of the youngsters caught that fish and we all said it was the best fish we have ever seen and, Gary who was the leader for they boys almost wished he was taking the rod himself on that run=)

A few days ago Nicclas told me he had seen it in a bay in the lake with loads of vegetation and already the day after I was there putting out some baits. The day after I tried it from my carp boat and after first loosing one fish at the first light in the morning I got another chance just 5 minutes before I had to reel in. I had to play it in the boat because of all weed, and when I saw it the first time in the clear water I know immediately which fish it was! It was the one I wanted! I landed it without any problem and I called my wife Sara and she met me up for a nice photosession. Sometimes it really nice to live close to a lake!
